Description

Seven hours later, I get this done! Huzzah!
This is nothing like I've ever done before. I'm definitely not used to drawing scenes like this, nor do I have much experience writing out pokemon battles. It took me a while to get to where I liked the posing, but once I had that, it was smooth sailing! Ariados was surprisingly fun to draw-- sadly, most of it was covered by the flames xD But that's okay.
I sure hope you guys like this! nvn<3 The story to go along with it is just below.

The tournament was already underway. It would have been a good thing, but Coulter’s friend had never shown. He was the one that was talking about a new venue—the moon! He was the one that invited Coulter. So why wasn’t he here?
Coulter rolled out of bed and flicked the switch to turn his alarm clock off. He numbly went to get dressed, brush his hair, and otherwise get ready for the first match of the day. A few minutes before nine, he left with Prince and Wynne to go to the arena for his battle.

Ladies and Gentlemen! For the first match of this Victory Tournament, we’ll have a thrilling double match between Coulter Reeves and Taru Famine! The match will begin in a moment, so please stay tuned…

Coulter knelt down and smiled to Prince and Wynne. “Do your best, okay?” he said, “Look out for each other. I’ll help you out, but you two have to help each other.” He smiled and ruffled Wynne’s bangs. She squeaked with delight and went to hug him around the neck.
“I don’t know what pokemon he’s going to use,” Coulter muttered, and frowned. Prince nodded and folded his bouquets. “We’ll manage, whatever he uses,” Coulter continued.

Contestants, are you ready?

Coulter let Wynne down and stood, then moved into the trainer’s ring that he would stand in for the whole match. Taru, on the opposite side, did the same.
“Alright, you two,” Coulter said, “Go on out. Let’s get this started.”

Coulter sent out Roserade and Audino! Taru send out Ariados and Swinub! Ready? Go!

“Prince! Magical Leaf, go!” Coulter yelled. Prince leapt forward and thrust his bouquets forward, sending out a slew of leaves headed straight for the opposing party. Magical Leaf never missed; both were pelted, though Taru’s Ariados didn’t seem affected. His Swinub, though, did its best to shield itself.
“Wynne! Calm mind!” Coulter cried. Wynne closed her eyes to focus, and build up energy.
“Freya! Bug Bite that Audino! Orion, Powder Snow that Roserade! Get out there!”
The swinub moved as quickly as it could to get a clear shot at Prince, who was rushing over to Wynne so that he could protect her from the incoming Ariados.
“Block it, Prince! Poison Jab!” Coulter cried. Prince did an uppercut with a poison-filled bouquet, which—didn’t do much, but it was something; and it did its job to block the blow.
Just as Prince knocked the Ariados away, Taru’s Swinub used Powder snow, and trapped Prince and Wynne within the blast. Wynne squealed and clung to Prince, shielding her face from the flakes; Prince cried out, doing his best to shield himself as well.
“Prince!” Coulter called, “Shadow ball! Follow up with a Poison Jab! Wynne, go after that Ariados. Flamethrower!”
Prince lunged forward and blasted a shadow ball at Taru’s swinub, then dashed after it and slammed his poison-filled bouquet into the swinub’s face. Meanwhile, Wynne took a deep breath in, then blasted Taru’s Ariados with a charged flamethrower. The ariados reeled back from the flames.
“Spider web!” Taru called, “Freya, Spider web!”
“Burn it up, Wynne!” Coulter cried. Wynne took another deep breath and shot out another slew of flames, burning Ariados’s attempt at a web into crisps that fell to the stadium floor.
“Prince, Giga drain!” Coulter called, “Get back that health you lost!”
“Ro!” Prince stepped back and held up his bouquets; he started to drain energy out of the Swinub. By now, the swinub was starting to fade; it was losing health quickly, and needed to make a comeback if it wanted any hope.
“Powder snow!” Taru called, “Ariados! Bug bite! Get in there!”
Prince was hit with another round of powder snow. The Ariados managed to rush back in and land a bug bite on Wynne.
“Prince! Shadow ball the Ariados! Wynne, Use Flamethrower again on that Swinub!”
Prince turned around, and blasted a shadow ball forth; Wynne broke away, swirled around, and shot out another flamethrower. The two of them moved so that they were back to back again, just in different positions.

Taru’s Swinub is unable to battle!

Wynne squeaked with delight, then turned back around to help Prince take care of the Ariados.
“Wynne, Ice beam!” Coulter called. She nodded and, instead of flames this time, shot out a string of ice.

Taru’s Ariados is unable to battle! Coulter is our winner!

Prince flopped to the ground to sit; Wynne joined him. “Au…” Wynne squeaked, then leaned up against him. Coulter went to the center of the field and knelt with them.
“Good job, you two. That’s how you do it.” Relief was evident on Coulter’s face.
Taru recalled his pokemon and came to the center of the field to meet Coulter, who rose to shake his hand.
“That was a good battle,” Coulter said, “Thank you. I hope your pokemon are alright.”
Taru nodded. “I’ll get them to the pokemon center and they’ll be just fine. Since when does your Audino know flamethrower, though?”
“TM,” Coulter said, chuckling. “Ice Beam and Flamethrower both are TM moves for her.”
Taru shrugged. “Huh. Well. I’m going to get these two healed up, in case there are more battles to be had. See you around, Coulter.”
“Rest well,” Coulter said. “I’ll see you.”
